[Bug 572279] Re: getpwuid_r(): failed du to unknown user id (0)

I get this error when booting the release version of 10.04 from a downloaded 32-bit CD image burned to disk.

I am filing the bug report from my Ubuntu 9.10 install by running the
ubuntu-bug linux as recommended by Steve Langasek here
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/plymouth/+bug/532984/comments/27).

I get the same errors as described in these bug reports:

Bug #558842
Bug #531027

Cant use 10.04 until its fixed so if I can help in any way, let me know.
