What happened is that my system crashed and I had to re-install a fresh.
I cannot see if this is fixed because I've not had to upgrade the
kernel.  Since information for this bug cannot be supplied because I re-
installed ubuntu, this bug can be closed.  I can file a new one if it
happens again.  Thanks.
