[Bug 616947] [NEW] Ubuntu 10.04 freezes on heavy Wifi network load using

Public bug reported:

Ubuntu freezes during heavy *wifi* network activity and/or when transfer rate gets high.
Gnome freezes, screen freezes, keyboard get unresponsive, network traffic is stopped, computer doesn't respond to ping, I can't ssh it, etc.
Only solution is a hard reset.

It happens for instance when:
- Download multiple files in Firefox
- Transferring files with other computers of my LAN
- backing up files over the network to a remote computer.

Low/moderate network activity works fine, for instance web browsing and
keeping concurrent downloads to 1 or 2 at a time and as long transfer
rate stay low my Ubuntu will never freeze.

If I switch to ethernet only, Ubuntu never freezes no matter what stress
the network is put under.
