Yep, that cleared the error from the log files :)

Cannot say if it fixes boot hangs since I have not seen those since
ages... Not sure what else it changes except that Google Earth won't
start at all now but that program was useless on my Radeo Xpress 200M
using open source radeon driver anyway ;)
