Public bug reported:
I don't believe I was really even actively accessing the disk at the
time this occurred (but not 100% sure). I only noticed when I tried to
access my files, and found that the volume mysteriously unmounted. This
is all on Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit, and I'm using a WD10000H1Q-00.
Interesting section from dmesg:

but with timestamps, all these messages take place within 5 minutes; I
had noticed this about 40 minutes later.
