[Bug 414833] Re: Cannot turn on/off 3G modem in Vaio TT

After post #48, I've installed latest development kernel (1) in my 10.04
box, then run the required command (2) again (twice, because I expected
the same information to be added to the bug).

As I noticed that the battery drain was lower when using 10.04 with
maverick's 2.6.36-rc2 (3), I've upgraded to maverick... and I can
confirm that there's something between 10.04 up-to-date and actual
maverick that makes my Vaio TT reach 9W/h (vs 12W/h of 10.04).

The behaviour I've explained when setting this bug still exists... I
mean that I can still get a working 3G data connection despite wwanpower
shows 0, but at least I'm not worried about the battery drain !!

Also, as may be this is important, I've been asked to enter the PIN of
the SIM card... and network manager already had those pins stored in
there...

Last, I'm available to test whatever you need me to test about this,
despite the battery drain -my main problem- is now gone (4).

Thanks! ;)

(1) http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.36-rc2-maverick/
(2) apport-collect -p linux 414833
(3) using "watch -n 2 cat /proc/acpy/battery/BAT0/state
(4) 10W/h with wifi enabled, BT & 3G disabled. BT is also disabled through sony-laptop. wifi power savings are set to on (by default in maverick -finally!-)
