Ok.  From what I can see this driver is included in the kernel .deb (see
below) therefore it should be available on the CD:

./lib/modules/2.6.32-21-server/kernel/drivers/usb/storage/ums-cypress.ko

It is however not listed for inclusion in a .udeb in the d-i
configuration, so I would expect it to be missing on the alternate CD's.
