Hello, this problem appears also in Ubuntu 10.04 (Linux piotr-laptop 2.6.32-23-generic #37-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jun 11 07:54:58 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux). "Home-made solutions", like "acpi=off", "apm power_off=1", "pci=noacpi" etc. (separate and together) in GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="" (in: /etc/default/grub) doesn't work. Maybe this is an issue of elder machines (im working on quite old Clevo 2700T) - don't know.
dmesg is also clean (without any errors). Strange...
