As I wrote, this "Bug" affects Lucid. I guess the Chip will work with
Maverick since it works since 2.6.33. I have compiled a vanilla 2.6.33.5
kernel and can confirm that it works.

It is just that Lucid is a LTS release and should IMHO therefore support
this Bluetooth dongle.
