i can still reproduce with 2.6.35-7-generic

i noticed that during the lockup there are lots of dmesg lines like
Jul  4 13:25:47 oberon kernel: [11186.772503] ioatdma 0000:00:08.0: reset
disabling IOAT in the BIOS seems to prevent the crash
