[Bug 472888] [NEW] kubuntu karmic can't read data DVDs

I have just upgraded to Kubuntu 9.10. I can't read  data DVDs. It's a
very strange problem. All files appear on the listing and I'm unable to
copy them.

I can mount the DVD, but cannot read it. O Windows they all read
perfect, without errors. The discs were recorded with K3b and Nero 6.
Sometimes they read, most times they don't. I have tried to add my user
account to the "disk" group and it managed to read some discs partially.
Any ideas?
