[Bug 606665] [NEW] HP 5101 lid close not detected

Public bug reported:

The same problem as in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/376793 except on
different hardware,  in this case the mini 5101. In short, closing the
lid doesn't do anything but manual hibernating/sleeping works ok. The
lid close doesn't seem to be registered.

I have confirmed that there is not ACPI message for closing the lid
(should there be?) but that /proc/acpi/button/lid/C1D2 correctly reports
the lid as being open/closed.

I'm running 10.04 with Ubuntu 2.6.32-23.37-generic 2.6.32.15+drm33.5
kernel. The lid close worked perfectly in 9.10.
