I tested the new Ubuntu Image you have posted

I Boot from CD

1. Booting was OK, after click on Suspend the Computer goes in Standby. After wakeup i see only a black area and the Mousearrow. In the Console i can see   
SQUASHFS error Unable to Read page, block 25287fa9 size 3b23  
SQUASHFS error data cache entry [numbers]

2. new Booting
after Standby computer wakeup and play normal sound. I go again in standby, and now computer do nothing. In Console i can see

SQUASHFS error: squashs_read_data failed to read block 0x24a6be16
SQUASHFS error: unable to read fragment cache entry [24a6be16]

3. new Booting
Standby OK, Wakeup OK, Standby OK, plays Sound, Wakup OK and now wenn i click on susspend, nothing happends. No programms can be started. In Console i see again SQUASHFS error
