Public bug reported:

The boot was just terminated, and I was doing nothing particular when apport noticed to me the kernel Oops.
Previous boot didn't finish properly and I needed to hard poweroff the machine (caps lock not working, sysrq not working).
This is a maverick upgrade on stock lucid, on a Netbook Sony Vaio VPCW12M1E.

For now I don't know how to reproduce the problem, because I don't even
know what trigerred it. Everything seems to currently work fine on the
machine, I will look further to see if any hardware doesn't work and I
will report it here.

best regards,
