I've had several bugs since installing Ubuntu 10.10 alpha and alpha2.
I'm not sure if the problem was the same though.  Usually the bug
reporting mechanism fails and I can't send the problem report.  This is
the first time I've been able to report a problem using the OS
utilities.  I've had random instability about twice a week since
installing Ubuntu 10.10 alpha about 2 months ago.

I am not a developer.  I am a sysadmin doing testing at home, while
studying for the LPIC level 1 certification exam.  This bug did not
cause any serious problems for me, besides having to reboot.  I just
wanted to report this bug since it is a pre-release alpha version.  I
did not have this problem with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.  Not sure if it makes a
difference, but I have a multiboot system with Windows XP, Debian 5,
Ubuntu 10.04 alpha on the primary drive with the Grub boot loader, and a
secondary drive with Red Hat 6 beta.  Ubuntu 10.10 alpha is the main OS
I use on a daily basis.
