Well it looks like ndiswrapper may not be an option for this one.
Ndiswrapper is preforming worse than the ath9k driver included in
"2.6.32-24-generic #38-Ubuntu SMP Mon Jul 5 09:20:59 UTC 2010 x86_64
GNU/Linux". The packet loss is so great that I cant even complete a nslookup
to ping google.com. that of course is after attempting to connect to the
access point several times before actually being able to connect.
