Just experienced this with kernel 2.6.35.11-generic-pae.

Had installed PAE kernel, rebooted, started Terminator and Google
Chrome.  Internet connection may have gone down as I tried to request
page in Chrome, that is when I noticed crash indication.

Started bug report process but couldn't complete it due to connection
being down so have added comment here instead.
