Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: initramfs-tools
Hi,
that's not a bug-report, that's a wish and proposal:
Would be nice if the initrd would support mounting a ramdisk/aufs over a read-only root system in case the root file system is not writable or the user requests on the command line.
It would allow to use and temporarily modify a linux system without
actually changing it. Or to have a root file system on a squashfs
compressed file.
regards
Hadmut
