Public bug reported:
After upgrading to ubuntu 10.04 (lucid) on a desktop pc, the system
seized while rebooting. Several attempts to reboot all seized at
exactly the same point. The last message posted while booting was as
follows:
udevd[357]: SYSFS{}= will be removed in a future udev version, please
use ATT (something missing here) = match the event de_ (and that was
the end).
The message was exactly the same on each reboot attempt.
The system is built on a MSI MS 7082 ver 1 motherboard using an Intel P4
(32 bit) running at 3.2 GHz with 2GB DDR 400 RAM. I was upgrading to
lucid from jaunty using the gnome update manager. Prior to the
attempted upgrade, the system had been running jaunty with no problems.
I have since restored the system from a back up and it is running fine
under jaunty.
