Public bug reported:

Clicked to make updates and they are beeing processed.
While in middle of procces Logged in TTY1 and there written 7 packages can be updated 6 updates are security.. came back to TTY7 and i see error on update window:
E: /var/cache/apt/archives/linux-image-2.6.32-22-generic_2.6.32-22.36_i386.deb: subprocess dpkg-deb --fsys-tarfile returned error exit status 2

maybe logging in TTY1 and making seenable update info made updated to
lock somehow?
