Could you explain what you mean by testing an "upstream kernel"?  Does
that mean to use a kernel with a later date than the stock kernel
supplied with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS? Such as one in this directory dated 02
June 2010:

http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.32.15.5-lucid/

Or do I need to use one that matches the existing one from the Ubuntu to
Mainline kernel mapping link?:

http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/info/kernel-version-map.html

which maps 2.6.32-22.36 >> 2.6.32.11 + drm33.2

Again, complete nubie with regard to Linux.  I need to be lead.
