ingo,

I understand your frustration. It's not that this bug is really a higher
priority, it's more that this bug has a known fix. We have so many bugs
against the Ubuntu kernel that we have to try to fix bugs that we have a
solution for, and then we have to work on finding solutions for bugs
that are affecting lots of users and are very serious. To be fair, we
don't just focus on cosmetic issues like the one in this bug. However,
we do need to address simple bugs as well as we work on future releases.
