The patches have been committed to the lucid kernel tree. Please make
sure to test the next kernel that comes out to ensure that everything is
working properly, both with new hardware and old. We need to be sure it
works. If we find any issues, we can still pull out the patch before
general release.

Also, I've sent the patches upstream to -stable. I doubt they will be
accepted, but it's worth a shot. I've been communicating with the
maintainer of the driver, and he is supporting the effort.
