Binary package hint: gnome-media
With an Asus Xonar D1 soundcard, volume adjustment is extremely slow,
leading to stuttering and sound fallout. Pulse Audio even crashes when
playing back a movie with Totem (with other players I get only
stuttering for several seconds) and adjusting the sound volume. To be
sure I don't have some weird settings I booted from the live CD and had
the same problem. Easiest way to see it, is to open the audio preference
window and adjust the volume from the applet. The volume in the window
reacts with a huge delay.
Please tell me if additional information is required.
