[Bug 534144] [NEW] no console video output on HP DL380 following upgrade from hardy to lucid

Public bug reported:

Following an upgrade from hardy to lucid on an HP DL380 G6,
I rebooted to discover I was receiving no console output on the
KVM following the initial handful of text-mode messages.

This machine has a Radeon and is attempting to do KMS.

The kernel package in use is linux-image-2.6.32-15-server:
