When 2.6.32-16 was failing 2.6.32-15 ran for hours.

Just did today's updates 9 March 2010 which did do something to
2.6.32-16.  2-32-16.17 (according to Synaptic) has been running this
afternoon without hanging up.  I'll try some things to see if it is more
or less stable (for an Alpha).

Linux version 2.6.32-16-generic (buildd at rothera) (gcc version 4.4.3
