I don't know if I can reproduce it because the only 2 machines I have with
that many NICs are in 24/7 production. It should be simple for someone at
Canonical to similarly populate a box and test. Right now it is only not an
issue - if indeed it would be - because things are fine with IPv6 turned
off. Within a year or so there should be a lot more IPv6 in use. Then, if
this still _is_ an issue, there will need to be a real fix.
Unfortunately I'm not in a place to test it for you. It was a robust bug
when I encountered it. But I don't have the spare equipment now to check.
