Public bug reported:
I've got a ASUS P5Q SE PLUS motherboard (BIOS version 2204) which uses
the JMicron chip JMB368 for the additional PATA port. To this port there
is an usual IDE DVD-drive (HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4167B) connected.
I'm unable to read or write to this DVD-drive. Reading results in libata
soft-resets and burning quits after some random time (no error log
available).
I double-checked the IDE cable (and replaced it twice) and I tried the
kernel parameter "libata.ignore_hpa=0" - without any change.
I'm not sure if this bug is related to
