I tried the text-mode suspend with no_console_suspend. No messages were
shown; resume failed as before.

I also tried the pm_trace, but I could not find any further information. There was only one "hash matches" line: 
[    1.476205] acpi PNP0000:00: hash matches

How stable is Lucid? I usually don't upgrade before a RC. Can this be
tested off a LiveCD?
