Hi Jeremy,

I am no longer running this kernel, thus I cannot contribute to this issue 
anymore. I am using NVIDIA's 195.36.08 driver with the 2.6.31-19-generic kernel 
and do not encounter the problem. From my point of view you may close this bug.
