I was able to install ver. 10.04 on one of the dell pc's with no
apparent problems.
I did notice a couple of things which I attribute to my lack of ubuntu
experience.
The install appeared to be a fresh install and not an update - that is
- it didn't carry any of my 3rd party software forward...Skype in
particular.
I was able to set up my wireless access and browse the Internet,
download some "test" files, but could not attach to any of my win2000
serve shares. I received a DBus error.
I checked for updates to the 10.04 install and found 4 which downloaded
and updated fine.
I had to revert to the working version of ubuntu as none of my email
moved over to the 10.04 version (again an indication of a fresh install)
and I couldn't remember what command you wanted run, but realized it was
IF i had a problem.
I did numerous reboots as that was the issue with the 9.10 and each
performed as it should.
I hope this rather long review helps further the 10.04 development
