Tried Alpha 3 and got a similar problem as described above. I cannot
neither boot using a live CD nor launch the installer. I have tried with
'nomodeset' and managed to get to the end of the blue/white bar in the
bottom of th screen and a message saying "could not write byte broken
pipe", but my laptop hangs up after that. As I understand it is
something to do with the intel video driver as I have 855GM chip.
