OK heres the details:
I hooked up the Microsoft Keyboard in Karmic. It worked beautifully. Same
with it's mouse on the same receiver. I downloaded, burned a verified the
Lucid alpha 3. My hardware configuration is not supported. I could not boot
the disc. I only got an stdin error after selectng to try Ubuntu, regardless
of which keyboard I had hooked up. HOWEVER!, Using either my current
logitech keyboard OR the Microsoft keyboard, I was able to CTRL+ALT+F1 to
the terminal screen during boot up to see this stdin error. So while it
seems an unrelated issue is preventing me from booting the release, the
quirk appears to be implemented when it is trying to start Ubuntu.
I hope this is enough to help you. Thanks again for a wonderful operating
system!
