The EFI specification (which is also the specification for GPT) does not
define the term "Hybrid GPT". It specifies that all GPT disks have a
protective MBR. I don't think that makes them "hybrid" in any
significant sense - it's simply a part of the GPT specification.
Is there some more authoritative reference that you're thinking of here?
