[Bug 540550] [NEW] Desktop effects not working on ATI Radeon X1200 / RS690

Public bug reported:

After upgrade to Lucid Alpha 3, desktop effects stopped to work.
When I try to switch them on window decorations disappear (metacity crashes).

My graphics card is ATI Radeon X1200 /  RS690.

Desktop effect worked fine for me in Karmic.
