I agree with buzz and can confirm that one still needs to insert the
keys needing the forced key release.

Also, the main reason why this bug was opened, the brightness does not
change and sadly the nvclock or smartdimmer method is not an option for
me (p560 has Intel GMA4500X)

I have not yet found a way to change the brightness, will test with the
latest upstream kernel, I am currently using: Ubuntu 9.04 with
2.6.32-020632rc7-generic
