alright, i'm new to linux, so i just installed a week ago ubuntu 9.10, and i'm still trying to configure it, i do have a lot of problems with ubuntu, including,(i am desperate so i will post just a quick review of all the problems) web-cam doesn't work,cairo-dock has a black background, no sound,(resolved in once, by making an update to ALSA because the bios bug that response to the pins connected to audio device, now i can't find that forum), the video is really buggy, freezes, it seems that it skips some frames, when i move a window the corners of the window seems to not refresh like they have to,(no not everything is freezing, i do have confizfusion and the cube is working nice and everything else, i installed the ati proprietary driver but that's another story. 
The real problem for me right now is the WIFI Connection , i have an hp dv6-1268nr laptop with ATI RADEON HD 4650
from the moment i started to write here i lost the connection 4 times and maybe 10 times it friezed . I do have dual boot (windows vista) and ubuntu on an another partition if that is important, my wireless router is at 10 feet from me and in windows it is running perfectly.
 i really want to send you guys the "report bug about kernel" because it is really impossible for me, i tried about 5 times and it hangs at the middle of the report because of the connection.   i need to attach some report so i will try my best..
The laptop has "touch pad buttons" with led's on then "sound on/off(working ok), increase/decrease volume(working ok), and of course wifi on/off(when i connect to a wifi network the led starts blinking blue/red like crazy, i'm thinking sometimes that it really presses that button and it will destroy my wifi adapter one day :)) )the led blinks only if there is an active connection, i observed that if the connection freezes the led is not blinking(so this is an warning for me :)), and if i don't send/get any data it will blink only 1-2 times per minute..
Also i want to say that most of the times it will "unfreeze" the connection after a minute and again 1-2 minutes working. And the more packets are send the more often the connection freezes(if i just surf the web it will freeze once in 10 minutes if i download something once in a minute..
Another really annoying thing is, if i press the led Wifi after 3 seconds (not instantly like in windows) the button led goes red like it has to(turning off wifi), but if i press it back it will never turn back on and i need to reboot to use the wifi..
