Public bug reported:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
fails see excerpt of console messages below.
Seems to be "Exec format error" on /etc/kernel/header_postinst.d/nvidia-common

Doesn't make sense, this is an IBM Thinkpad R31 with intel video
graphics i830. Why is there an "nvidia-common" being used? This isn't
nvidia video graphics at all?

Thanks, jerry
