[Bug 74372] Re: System freezes when inserting a CD/DVD

Well, just tried the new and shiny 10.04 and it sucks. Same problem when
inserting CD, system freezes completely.

So now this problem is occurring with 9.04, 9.10, 10.04 and I guess they are aware of it but just don't care.
It seems a shame too because all the new folks trying out Ubuntu for the first time will be running back to Windows 7.

This is a bad bug, and if anyone cares my system is a quad core 3 gigs
ram 1TB hard drive and yet cannot use any Ubunbtu except 8.04 that is,
if I want to use a CD or DVD.
