[Bug 544215] [NEW] Touchpad is detected as generic PS/2 mouse on Acer AO532h-2326 netbook.

This bug is similar to bugs 123775, 506502, and 197905: the touchpad on
the Acer AO532-2326 netbook running UNR 9.10 is identified by the kernel
only as "ImPS/2 Generic Wheel Mouse" in /proc/bus/input/devices, the
output of lshal, and dmesg.

Unlike similar bugs, the output of tpconfig -i is: Could not open PS/2
Port [/dev/psaux].  Also unlike similar bugs, the touchpad works but is
overly sensitive, making the keyboard very difficult to use due to tap
to click false positives.  I installed gsynaptics, but
System->Preferences->Touchpad gives this error:

GSynaptics couldn't initialize.
You have to set 'SHMConfig' 'true' in xorg.conf or XF86Config to use GSynaptics

As far as I can tell, there is no xorg.conf file.  Adding a
/etc/hal/fdi/policy/shmconfig.fdi file didn't seem to have any effect
either.

This is a serious usability issue for this netbook.  Please let me know
if I can help fix it.
