Almost. I cannot restore the brightness. The dimness after resume is
permanent until I reboot. It is now that way upon any and all resumes,
where it used to be that way only when resuming after suspending after
being on battery (didn't matter if resume/suspend was on AC/DC, any
combo thereof): Go on battery, then suspend on AC or battery, then
resume, dim. No way to get bright.

Now it is perfectly consistent: Suspend, resume, dim until reboot.

Also, I'd quibble with "dbus seems to fail", but that's just a quibble
(the machine does not suspend and the test script reports an error;
that's an error with the script, expecting it cannot get, or with
suspend not happening when it should, but either way it is a clear
failure).
