The mouse integration problem is perhaps off-topic here, but there's a
fix for it at http://www.virtualbox.org/changeset/27248. You can edit
the file /usr/src/vboxvideo-3.1.4 as noted and recompile with sudo
/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup. You also need to define the mouse in
/etc/init.d/xorg.conf:

Section "InputDevice"
	Identifier	"VBoxMouse"
	Driver		"vboxmouse"
	Option		"CorePointer"
EndSection

However, it doesn't stop this particular bug from happening.
