[Bug 544937] [NEW] dual screen + laptop close = system freeze

When I am using an external monitor, if I close my laptop the whole system is freeze, my laptop monitor is black, the other one is frozen, and there is no much to do than reseting the system (I tried all shortcut I know to avoid that). The bug is systematic (same causes, same effects) and it used to happened on previous ubuntu version on my laptop too. I have a thinkpad T61 and my OS is ubuntu 9.10 64bits.
