I had a lod d-link dwl-g122 which was ok, but i thought with an antenna and a pci-card i could incread my connection from 52% to something higher (hopped for 80% since my router is only 15 meters and there is no direct wall between), anyway since i put the Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR2413 802.11bg NIC (rev 01), and ath5k it keeps crashing, freezing. I can't see find out why. In the logs there is nothing suspicous, no warning. I am trying now madwifi but instead of 60% I have 40%!!! even my 54mbit dropped to a 24mbit... Anyone has a hint?
