Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kernel-package

package: kernel-package
version: 12.032
arch: amd64

1) make-kpkg --initrd --revision=0.$NOW kernel-image && make-kpkg
--initrd --revision=0.$NOW kernel-headers

2) installed the packages, no initrd image found, in grub config root
device was pointed by sda2, but not by uuid

3) fixed the problem with:

update-initramfs -c -k 2.6.33.1 && update-grub

p.s. why such a handy tool is downgraded from main into universe?

** Affects: kernel-package (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
