I believe I have (have had this for a quite a while now actually) this same problem with ubuntu 9.10. It disconnects randomly and after that it refuses to reconnect. After I disable and enable wireless again from the network manager it says "device not ready." Only thing I can do (with these skills) is to restart and hope it would work a bit longer.
What can I do to help with this issue?
