[Bug 549625] [NEW] Ubuntu 10.04 Beta1 AMD64 GeForce Boot Hang

Since 8.10 or so I'm upgrading always to the Beta1 of the next Version when its out.
Until now I never had a Problem. This time was different. For what reason ever I reinstalled with i386, worked fine but after I decided to reinstall again with amd64. So I've done. The installation worked fine, but after it hanged by the splashscreen.
/var/log/messages said the last done thing was to initialize USB... so I switched off USB. No Change. I booted without quiet and splash in the hope to get more Informations. This time the boot worked, but the resolution was not automatically detected. Made dist-upgrade, no change. Installing the GeForce driver solved the problem. Ubuntu is booting now also with splash fine.
