I had the following entry in my fstab added durring some playing around:
 none /proc/bus/usb usbfs devgid=userid,devmode=664 0 0 

During reboot the system said /proc/bus/usb Not found. Rather than
simply ignoring it and moving on the boot stopped in its tracks. I had
to boot to a live cd and delete the above line. I believe in the pas
these things have failed silently and moved on.
