Hi again!

Just some additional information: I also tried this on my other Ubuntu
computer, an Asus eee, running the notebook version of Ubuntu 9.10. This
is a much "cleaner install", where I have done little (my other computer
has lots of stuff added, including a full version of Kubuntu). But the
error is exactly the same on my Asus. Just for your information, here is
a screen-shoot of the two volumes:
