[Bug 550612] [NEW] after installing ubuntu 9.10, mouse is inoperative

while installing 9.10, along with another operating system mouse was not
working, but managed to install with keyboard, and was given choices of
os to start, but still no mouse functioning in ubuntu, windows xp mouse
works fine ?
